London Calling was a weekend filled with music and after that it always takes me some time to get used to getting up early for work.
With my lil vaction to Spain starting next monday, the two gigs i have this week,

a merchandise training at work, my room, school stuff i have to take care of and everything else going on i keep forgetting know what day it is.

After Amsterdam i went to stay at my parents so later this week i'll have the time to pack for Spain, relax and memorize the calendar.
I just need to calm my mother down a bit, i love the lady but she gets too carried away when it comes to packing...

Grace

After watching 'Amazing Grace' on Canvas in December I went to the library for some Jeff Buckley music and came home with Grace (Of course) and Live at Sin-e.
I played Live at Sin-e during the bitter sweet Christmas holiday, bitter sweet because i love the food and hate because your obligations but anyWHO, I needed something to lift my spirit and Jeff Buckley did that for me.
This week i listened to Live at Sin-e again and it had the same amazing effect on my mood.
You can only wonder what else he could have made...

The Unthanks day!



Jonny Kearney and Lucy Farrell were the opening act maybe it was because i was standing at the front of the stage and couldn't here the noise in the back or because the crowd wanting to be there, it was quiet even during the opening act.

Jonny and Lucy sang pretty, heart warming songs, a really lovely duo to see live and a perfect opener. And Lucy sure did know how to get the crowd smiling inbetween the songs !








The Unthanks were happy, friendly, chatty and funny. A perfect night of temporally serenity.

My ink wishes

After having my smiley done two weeks ago i want more.
I already want two tattoos inspired but Cold War Kids- Hospital Beds in Welsh because i find Welsh a charming language
Yesterday i read about HEALTH tattoos and after seeing


I decided I want the YWLEO tattoo on my inner arm.

I'm at a point in my life where I want to life and not think about anything to long because i might change my mind.
There is nothing worse then regretting a missed chance.

I hope to have my three tattoos wishes on my skin before i turn 23 this year.

Last day of Motel Mozaique 2010

Went for a bit of Angus&Julie Stone, my gosh even the sound check was beautiful but I left after 30 minutes because I wanted to see Crystal Antlers.
Well I saw Crystal Antlers finish.

After that it was a lot of walking around until Moss began in Rotown.
I really liked their song 'I Apologize' but the rest of it was also very good.
Shortly after they played that song I went to WATT for Hudson Mohawke.

I've heard a lot of good things about him and he's also playing London Calling later this month so I was curious.
And boy Hudson Mohawke came hard! My gosh his set was a spark of electricity.

A spark because Gaslamp Killers set was the shot of electricity.

THAT ENERGY MAAAN

I was enjoying myself until they closed down the balcony and i had to go downstairs and join the crowd. Bye bye good view hello big weird crowd.
Ah well after that you could see the WATT people were ready to close it all down and it was almost 5am.
Good ending, can't wait for London Calling!

Hipster lulz

I'm not really a hipster (no seriously) but walk into the digital world of hipsters every now and then. Gosh it's amazing how accurate Hipster kitty is!

Happy the day began

Soft, colourful and really just a very nice thing to see.

From everything that was to see i just went to see the free Mumford&Sons performance.
I went home to drop some things off but then i didn't really feel like leaving due to tiredness and because my room is my safe foetus position.
Ah well today is a new day filled with other names worth going outside for!

I love dressing up and miss it now i work 5days a week in my uniform (i'm just happy i have dark denim jeans instead of the light denim mom jeans) and nowhere to go without school=(

Catching up with missed cinema time

So i wanted to see 'J'ai tué ma mère' and 'A Single Man' Monday night after coming home from work and my first interview (part of the project i'm working on for the student thing i'm part of) i thought why not just go today!

I was wearing my Jeffrey Campbell 99's for the first time and had them on all day.
Gosh I did a hell of a lot walking that day so the sitting down part was also a bit of a present to my aching feet.

I left home racing around 19.00 because 'A Single Man' started 19.30 and 'J'ai tué ma mère' at 21.30 and i wanted to get a discount but still had to buy a discount card but all went well.

'A Single Man' was a film you could lose yourself in, i got chocked up a couple of times, it was simple but so beautiful.
Even Nicholas Hoult came across believable as your average American kid after a while, he hasn't got the Robert Pattison American but he pulled it of.




'J'ai tué ma mère' was less of a film i could lose myself in.
Maybe it was because i only slept 4 hours the night before but i seriously dozed off for a few minutes during the film.
I did like the story. I understood how he felt about his mother and his reasons.
Definably a must see again film!


It was an wonderful night alone at the cinema, must have been the arthouse thing.

Xavier Dolan wears a lot of stripes in Jái tue ma mere.
I like and understand his love for stripes so it not a bad thing, i just found it a bit funny seeing him in different scene's wearing stripes.

Some other pick me up purchases

I did some shopping this week!
Pure because i was bummed because of my paycheck (the ironey) and having to cutdown my concert list.
The organisation that goes over student founding (DUO) was late with processing my study changes and gave me have some extra cash!
I have to pay it back but i'm happy for now again so i'll worry about that later.
For now i like the high (Tihihi)
