It's been a while.
1 year, 5 months and 9 days to be exact.

Not that I didn't missed sharing, I just had nothing to share.
I do now, for example my online dating experiences!
Yes I'm online dating. I need to learn to talk to guys and I thought well that's a good way to learn.
Till the post about the online dating, here's what I did in those 17 months and 9 days!

After my vacation i will have a weekend to relax, work and pick up were i left being a social loner in my bedroom on saterday nights.
Only one weekend because the weekends of 13 and 20 may are filled with fun and music!



Walk the Line Festival

Fantastique Mozaique

la Boutique Fantastique- Here Comes






Only 5 days until Motel Mozaique, i've been waited for April to begin just for this festival.
This will be my forth year attending and volunteering for a free entrance to the festival.
My shift is on friday during some performances that would have been fun to experience, but i have to check in people sleeping at a certain Motel Mozaique location and that's something new for me so my shift can easily be just as fun as the performances.
Another bright side is that my shift ends at 23.30 so i can still catch the 00.30 Lykke Li show and the live music+film experience from No Age called No Age vs The Beer.




The saterday is filled with more acts and acts i actually have to choose between.
Dum Dumb Girls are a definite must see for me but i have to choose between going to Eklin or No Age.
I could choose seeing half of each concert but a full venue really means full...decisions, decisions ,happy this is a fun decision.

Eindhoven: two nights, one day & an early morning

Friday and saturday is was working as volunteer at STRP festival in Eindhoven and it was a long but i have to say great weekend.
I was on the back up team but because of a fire at Utrecht central a lot of the trains were out of the running.
This caused that some volunteers were stuck at the train station and just couldn't come what meant more work for me!


After the first friday festival night I missed my train so i spend the night at Eindhoven train station waiting for everything to open so i could sit somewhere warm and maybe snooze a bit. Going home to Rotterdam just sounded like a waste of time and money, especially when i could discover a new town.

I decided to go and watch Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows just to be out of the cold and even though i still have to see the part that comes before the Deadly Hallows it was a understandable adventurous film.


After that i still had a lot of time left and i went to the library.
I brought my psychology book along with me so that if i got bored i could at least do something useful.
The library is very modern, open and relaxed place to read, i have to admit i fell asleep for a while, but it was such a relaxed place to just sit and chill.
They even had a little café in the library.


fast forward a few hours later
Before my shift started i got to see Die Antwoord and with all the hype they caused at Lowlands 2010 and their own concert at Trouw Amsterdam a few days after the Lowlands festival, i thought the performance was a bit disappointed.
Yeah they were loud and made enough contact with the crowd, but they just didn't do it for me.

Ah well my shift started at 23.00 til 6.30 behind the bar.
It was a long sticky shift but a fun shift and i've learned that i really should practice on tapping a perfect or anything close to perfect beer.

Saturday 27 november is Soulwaxmas at STRP Festival in Eindhoven where i can experience them live again.
I've been waiting too long, i want to dance.

London Calling festival II

The saturday.
Tame Impala, Wavves, Lulu and the Lampshades, Warpaint, Good Shoes, The Rumour Said Fire, Yuck, Beach Fossils, Factory Floor, The Hundred in the Hands, Summer Camp en The Neat.


I'm only going one day this year.
My cousin couldn't join me and i found out that it isn't that bad experiencing it all alone, but it isn't amazing either.
Plus there are more bands i really want to see playing the saturday.

One of those band being Warpaint .
They were so good during at Walk The Line festival so with their album 'The Fool' out it can only be better.

Tame Impala

Another band i really want to see.
Like Warpaint also tipped by friend A. and they were on my June playlist.
Riding my bike in the hot and sometimes mellow sun while listening to Tame Impala album Innerspeak was bliss!

Wavves

The third band i want to see. I kept hearing his songs but couldn't link the name to the songs and when that finally connected all was good.


As for the other bands, i am a little familiar with Beach Fossils, I've seen Good Shoes perform in what i think was 2008 and from what i've heard from Yuck and The Hundred in the Hands i'm pretty positive.
I'm just going to take the rest of the bands in and enjoy the second and last London Calling festival of 2010.

Lowlands sounds better when written 'L'eualands'

Same time next year.
Well a few days earlier let's say august 19/20+21.

Wish kind of granted!

So I am going to lowlands :D!
I was going to volunteer at Lowlands but because of summer school starting this week and the volunteers had to be there at wednesday I was sure I wouldn't be able to go.
After sending them an e-mail with my problem they replied and told me I could come the friday night!
This means I'll miss some acts but it's all good because I'm going for the magic.
Last year I mostly missed bands I had already seen so I hope to catch some new bands this year.

My Lowlands wish...

So i want to go to Lowlands and to enjoy it and not work this time.
I have summerschool and if i work then i won't be able to go to summerschool and that isn't what i want. It's eyes on the prize, the prize being school.
So with not enough money to pay for a tickets and go to Flevoland i've decided i'm going to try to win a ticket.
The fact that don't have anyone to go with is a small thing because last year i went to work on my own and enjoyed the festival so damn much.
It's magic Lowlands Paradise, it really is magicall.

Festival De Affaire

Late update but here it is anyway.
I went to Nijmegen for a weekend for the festival, saw a few bands, enjoyed them and the whole atmosphere of the festival and the city.
Next year i'm going for a full week!
