The Knife-Full Of Fire




Fast forward nine months and i've delivered no child, but have been giving bunch of new experiences.

• A day of shopping that became the start of bying a bunch of new clothing, bags, shoes and earrings. 
• A visit to de Parade Rotterdam
• My dearest and closest friend coming back home for a few months, oh how i've missed her!
• the always amazing Motel Mozaique festival and Festival DeBeschaving at which i was volunteering 
• The Little mermaid the musical. not my favourite Disney story but it was a fun night out with my little cousins
  FINALLY experiencing The Knife live and my gosh it was so good!
• A date to PITCH festival and at the end of the night became someone's girlfriend.
• Meeting and getting to learn my boyfriend has been the best gift, who knew internet dating success stories were real?!
• My first Halloween that ended with a splitting headache...i'm getting older i can feel it!

Best friends, right?

It's been a while.
1 year, 5 months and 9 days to be exact.

Not that I didn't missed sharing, I just had nothing to share.
I do now, for example my online dating experiences!
Yes I'm online dating. I need to learn to talk to guys and I thought well that's a good way to learn.
Till the post about the online dating, here's what I did in those 17 months and 9 days!

Volunteers only got one day to visit the festival and because i really wanted to see Lykke Li, i chose to only see her at Motel Mozaique.
This means i'll be missing Dum Dum girls for the third time and won't be able to see No age or Eklin after all.

I won a guest list spot and +1 to No Age thursday but had to give that away because i couldn't find anyone to fill the plus one spot.
you will not believe how disappointed i was, but those feelings went away when i heard that my H&M order was delivered.

Missing an amazing live concert for FREE was shit, but winning them in the first place is a sign that my luck is coming back.
Now i have my luck back and my perfect in between season coat.

Fantastique Mozaique

Only 5 days until Motel Mozaique, i've been waited for April to begin just for this festival.
This will be my forth year attending and volunteering for a free entrance to the festival.
My shift is on friday during some performances that would have been fun to experience, but i have to check in people sleeping at a certain Motel Mozaique location and that's something new for me so my shift can easily be just as fun as the performances.
Another bright side is that my shift ends at 23.30 so i can still catch the 00.30 Lykke Li show and the live music+film experience from No Age called No Age vs The Beer.




The saterday is filled with more acts and acts i actually have to choose between.
Dum Dumb Girls are a definite must see for me but i have to choose between going to Eklin or No Age.
I could choose seeing half of each concert but a full venue really means full...decisions, decisions ,happy this is a fun decision.

Lykke Li - I Don´t Mind (Jump On It)


Only 5 days till the museum night in Rotterdam, my first little thrill at night this year.

My first thrill this year, gosh i can hardly believe it myself.
After that it's only 32 days until i see Lykke Li again at this years edition of Motel Mozaique.

Things might go slower than usual and i don't mind because nonetheless things are still happening

Last day of Motel Mozaique 2010

Went for a bit of Angus&Julie Stone, my gosh even the sound check was beautiful but I left after 30 minutes because I wanted to see Crystal Antlers.
Well I saw Crystal Antlers finish.

After that it was a lot of walking around until Moss began in Rotown.
I really liked their song 'I Apologize' but the rest of it was also very good.
Shortly after they played that song I went to WATT for Hudson Mohawke.

I've heard a lot of good things about him and he's also playing London Calling later this month so I was curious.
And boy Hudson Mohawke came hard! My gosh his set was a spark of electricity.

A spark because Gaslamp Killers set was the shot of electricity.

THAT ENERGY MAAAN

I was enjoying myself until they closed down the balcony and i had to go downstairs and join the crowd. Bye bye good view hello big weird crowd.
Ah well after that you could see the WATT people were ready to close it all down and it was almost 5am.
Good ending, can't wait for London Calling!

Happy the day began

Soft, colourful and really just a very nice thing to see.

From everything that was to see i just went to see the free Mumford&Sons performance.
I went home to drop some things off but then i didn't really feel like leaving due to tiredness and because my room is my safe foetus position.
Ah well today is a new day filled with other names worth going outside for!
