End of my second term, test time has come again! Studying is priority number, meaning long nights of trying to learn and finish work. My spirit dies a little every morning i go to bed during this time because of the trying part. I never really succeed.
I spent the weekend at my surrogate big sister babysitting and studying (actually studying instead of trying) when my cute little cousin went to bed. Fake big sis always knows how to give me a reality check. I love her and her husband for understanding and being there for me. Now it's back to my books!

Finish each day & be done with it. You have done what you could. Learn from it, tomorrow is a new day.
Instead of working out, i'm placing the lyrics of this song into putting my time and energy in the sweatshop that is the school of higer education to be looking fine in your mind. I've been listening to de Staat new album 'Machinery' and i am like it very much. The above song and 'Ah i see' are the perfect roll out of bed and get stuff done songs.

The International Film Festival Rotterdam will start and celebrate it's 40th anniversary!
I was counting on pay day to be that friday but alas it was not. I wanted to see les amours imaginaires again but just like Black Swan, Never Let Me Go, Attenberg, 13 Assassins and Biutiful all the dates were already sold out before i could buy tickets. Luckily i saw other films that sparked my interest and ended up buying tickets for the following :
"Paris-Tehran. A rootless love story between Gecko, young and free, and Anahita, an Iranian in exile -- tangled up in History and steeped in Internet. Anahita is obsessed by the current event in her country, and little by little their story is contaminated by History and its breathless mediatisation on the internet."
"...The film is born from the confrontation of these two individuals moved by their will of freedom. FLEURS DU MAL rebels. "
"Since 2007, the Hong Kong health authorities have implemented an anti-smoking law that bans people from smoking in all indoor areas, including offices, restaurants, bars, and karaoke lounges. Office smokers now have to take their cigarette breaks on the streets outside, which has led to groups of smokers from the same building bonding together in cliques known as "hot pot packs." In an alley packed with loudmouth co-workers spreading the daily gossip, Jimmy, a mild-mannered advertising executive, meets cosmetics salesgirl Cherie. "
" As smoke gets in their eyes, one thing leads to another"
A very crappy picture reminding me i really need a real camera, but i just felt like making and sharing it.
As special sneek peek for the International Film Festival Rotterdam that starts 10 days from now, the film i have been so eager to see has been selected to be shown in film theatres across the country two weeks before it's official opening.
Xavier Dolan was excellent in bringing across the feelings people experience when infatuated by another. Les Amours Imaginaires is such a lovely film and i can't want to see it again.
I also can't wait to see the other films in the IFFR newspaper next friday, only ten days to go!
During the summer i was waiting for the bike repair man outside my flat and while waiting i was reading an interview Glamcult had with Karen Elson.
At one point Karen Elson talked about how the other children called her names when she was young because of her appearance and she kind of liked one particulate name. The Ghost Who Walked also being one of the nicer name she got called.
I loved the way she looked and talked that made her came across as a different kind of model and told myself to go look for Karen Elson's album but the bike repair man showed up and forgot all about it.
Tonight i saw the Tom Ford Spring/Summer 2011 Womenswear video and i found the song that's being used in it is so warm and comfortable, I just had to look it up.
